The Institute for Christian Psychology in partnership with Sojourn Community Church East is excited to announce two opportunities to hear from and to meet Dr. Chuck DeGroat acclaimed author of Leaving Egypt, Toughest People to Love, and Wholeheartedness: Busyness, Exhaustion, and Healing the Divided Self. Dr. DeGroat, theologian and psychologist at Western Seminary in Holland, MI is committed to spiritual and emotional formation for the sake of mission. He has participated in several church plants and has started two church-based clinical counseling centers. His academic specialization is in the intersection between psychology and the Bible.

Come join us to listen to, be stirred by, learn from, and meet this inspiring and thought provoking Christian thought leader.

When asked how we’re doing, we may often respond, “I’m so busy these days!” We feel pulled, torn, scattered, with too many things to do and too tired to do anything very well. In our technological age, we’re more prone to compare and self-criticize. We live divided lives. And yet, Scripture holds out hope for a vision of flourishing, a life of wholeheartedness in which we experience oneness with God and worthiness as beloved children of God. Maybe it’s possible to live wholeheartedly, even in this frantic world. ICP is partnering with Sojourn Baptist Church to offer this FREE, much-needed seminar. Open to everyone!
